Eagle Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (“Eagle” or “the Company”) (Nasdaq:EGRX) today announced that it has commenced an underwritten public offering, subject to market and other conditions, to issue and sell approximately $50,000,000 of shares of its common stock. In addition, certain stockholders of the Company (the “Selling Stockholders”) are offering 129,800 shares of the Company’s common stock for sale to the public. In connection with the offering, Eagle expects that the underwriters will be granted a 30-day option to purchase from Eagle up to an additional 15% of the shares offered by Eagle and the Selling Stockholders. Eagle will not receive any proceeds from the sale of the shares by the selling stockholders, and Eagle intends to use the net proceeds received from its offering of common stock for general corporate purposes.
